Tuition Reduction Incentive Program - TRIP
1. TRIP orders are processed weekly, except in the summer. Certificate orders are processed on a Bi-weekly basis. A summer schedule will be published (see monthly calendar on SFC website).
2. An account number will be assigned to you. All certificate orders for your number must be in ONE envelope and all checks in the envelope must be made payable to SFCS TRIP. These checks are non-tax deductible because you receive dollar for dollar value.
3. The credit earned in each Current family account will be held by the TRIP program and forwarded to individual tuition accounts in August, January, and April of each year. A statement of purchases and amount earned will be distributed to all members. Any discrepancies must be brought to the attention of the TRIP Coordinator within 45 days of the statement date. (For easy reference to your tuition balance, see the new envelope attached to your latest order. Add the totals of your ‘previous balance’ to the amount ‘earned.’)
4. Sioux Falls Christian Schools offer TRIP as a promotion for the education of students at Sioux Falls Christian Schools; therefore, the money collected on your Family Number will only be paid to SFCS for tuition reduction for grades PreK-12. If your child(ren) no longer will attend SFCS for any reason, the monies held under your Family Number can be:
a. Credited to your outstanding tuition balance
b. Credited to another family's tuition
c. Credited to the General Tuition Assistance Fund
No refunds will be issued.
5. A 'Disclaimer of Responsibility Form' must be signed for certificates to be released to your student. Your child will only receive the envelope with certificates ordered under your Family Number. (This is only an option for Sioux Falls Christian Middle/High School families.)
6. Drop off/pick up sites: You may choose where to do your TRIP business.
· SFCS Charger campus - Orders are due on Tuesday by 9:30 AM. Filled orders will be ready for pick up Friday of the same week as early as 7:30 am.
· On-Line orders are due Monday at Midnight.
· Shalom Christian Reformed Church site – Please check with church secretary for details.
· First Christian Reformed Church site – Please check with church secretary for details.
NO LATE ORDERS WILL BE PROCESSED, but can be held for the next week. It is up to your discretion how often you place an order.
7. Online orders are available. In order to participate in the online feature, you need to have submitted a voided check to the TRIP Coordinator with a Direct Payment Plan form (available on SFC website). Only one order per week. Payments will be automatically withdrawn on Tuesday and then appear on your selected account statement on Wednesday. The orders are due at Midnight on Mondays and available for pick up on Friday by 7:30 am.
8. These gift certificates are just like cash. Once your order is picked from whichever site you have chosen, you and/or your child are responsible for lost, stolen, or misplaced certificates. Neither Sioux Falls Christian Schools nor the TRIP program will be held responsible. Gift cards have varying expiration dates. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to keep track of the expiration dates of the certificates. See the back of the cards for more details.
9. Anyone writing a Non-Sufficient Fund check will incur a fee of $5.00 to be paid to the SFCS TRIP Account. After two NSF checks are tendered on your TRIP Account, only money orders or cashiers checks will be accepted for payment. No further personal checks will be accepted for purchase of certificates.
10.In case a store would close and you have debit cards or certificates that are not redeemed, it is not SFCS nor the TRIP program’s responsibility to refund you. The TRIP coordinator will inform you as soon as possible of a store closing.
