Computer Programming (10-12)
This course introduces students to computer graphic design. It teaches students how to draw basic objects in a 2D or 3D view on the computer ranging from simple squares to complex polygons. CAD employs a variety of programming tools including TotalCad and TurboCad 3D.

Computer Applications I (9-12) Credit: 1 Grades: 9-12 This hands-on course begins with the reinforcing of basic keyboarding skills with an emphasis placed on increased accuracy. The course continues by introducing students to file management, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, desktop publishing, and PowerPoint. The use of digital cameras and scanners is also incorporated. Microsoft Office software is used. The course concludes with a unit on integrating the above applications.
Computer Applications II (10-12)
This course is designed to continue using and applying the concepts learned in Computer Applications I. It will also include using the advanced features found in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Advanced Desktop skills are developed using Microsoft Publisher software. The use of scanners and digital cameras are incorporated throughout. HyperStudio software will be used to create presentations that use text, sound, graphics and video.
Reviewing of the keyboard and developing increased speed and accuracy is the focus of the first few weeks of this class. Word processing skills will be reviewed along with the addition of business documents such as reports, letters, memos. Students will develop spreadsheet skills including formatting formulas and charts. Lastly, students will develop additional PowerPoint skills.
Emphasis is placed on learning the keyboard and building speed and accuracy through drill work and Typing Tutor 7 software. Typing Tutor 7 is designed to help both beginners and advanced typists as instruction is customized to each student's skill level. Students will develop word processing skills using Microsoft Word software and will also be introduced to PowerPoint.
This course introduces students to the use of multimedia applications. Students will learn digital video editing, create virtual tours, and create webpages using Microsoft FrontPage software.
